Music Memorabilia Recession Proof?

Neil Roberts, head of Popular Culture for Christie's says music memorabilia hasn't felt the effects of the recession. He expects as many bidders as ever at their Rock and Pop auction on July 1.

While the art world has suffered losses, with reserve prices not being met and dwindling sales, music memorabilia as an alternative investment continues to grow. According to Roberts, this is because though pop culture collectables may offer a healthy return on investment, profit is not the driving force behind the purchase.
